Hierarchical patterns consisting of inorganic nanoparticles are a main focus of my current research. Here the hierarchical pattern can be stripes or dots with scale of micrometers, which consists of hexagonally arranged nanoparticles. My work focuses on developing novel faster and cheaper methods for patterning, including both flat and topographic ones. Such patterns of multi-scales on the interface of biomaterials will provide a new flatform to study the behavior of cells to certain surroundings which are controllable even to the scale of molecules.
